The electoral agency on Tuesday,October 10th, agreed to some ‘irreducible minimum’ demands NASA raised ahead of October 26th poll.
The IEBC,chaired by Wafula Chebukati,conceded to NASA’s access to servers and a requirement to have all results forms to be sent concurrently with the text results.
According to The Daily Nation, the IEBC also agreed to have agents of all the contesting candidates receiving the results forms at the constituency and national tallying center be present and verify the result before they are announced.

However, the election commission refused to change the poll technology provider, French-based OT-Morpho, and the presidential elections ballot paper printer, Dubai-based Al-Ghurair Printing Company, citing time constraints and possibility of modifications.
Raila’s Decision to Withdraw
Chebukati’s decision to grant NASA some of their crucial demands might have come too little to late following Mr Odinga’s Tuesday dramatic withdrawal from the repeat presidential poll, and demand for fresh nominations and a new election within 90 days.

Mr Odinga blamed the IEBC for its failure to address their concerns in its 12-point ‘irreducible minimums’.
