NASA has finally something to smile about after one of their “irreducible minimum” demands seem to have been met.
This is after the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati left out the Electoral Commission’s CEO Ezra Chiloba in new team
set to take charge of the repeat presidential poll slated for October 26th.
In the new seven-member team,Mr Chebukati has sidelined three senior IEBC officials,among them chief executive officer, Ezra Chiloba.

Axed along with Mr Chiloba are Silas Rotich and Nancy Kariuki who had previously been included in the new presidential election team selected by the Wafula Chebukati.
Commissioners who retained their positions are;
Salome Oyugi – head of legal and compliance.
Marjan Hussein Marjan – project team leader while
David Towett – head operations
Sydney Namulungu – tallying centres
Tabitha Mutemi – commission’s communication and outreach docket.

Chebukati was speaking at Safari Park Hotel on Friday after launching a training workshop for all 290 returning officers who will take part in the repeat poll on October 26.
The IEBC Chairman said the changes were part of his promise that he would carry out reforms to ensure a smooth running of the upcoming election,Citizen TV Reports.
Last month, Chebukati had unveiled a six-member project team that he said would oversee the October poll in which Chiloba had also been excluded from the team.
