He has worked at RMS for close to eight years where he was not only been a news anchor but also had his own radio show at Hot 96.

This comes barely a week after another talented Swahili news anchor,Salim Swaleh, also joined NTV from Citizen TV.

Swaleh joined NTV amid allegations of professional misconduct being the reason behind his departure at RMS. Speaking to a local media station, however,he refuted those allegations.

“Yes, it is true I left Citizen TV a week ago. I resigned for personal reasons not because of what I am reading online. My salary and the little I get from my businesses is enough money for me. I am a professional journalist who has worked with international media entities.”Swaleh stated.

Mr Swaleh was immediately replaced by former KTN Swahili anchor Mashirima Kapombe who made her debut on the media house today,2nd July, having left Standard Media Group last week.

It would be interesting to see who would be taking over from Willis Raburu, considering how much of an influence he was.
