The Supreme Court will once again be a center stage in the next few days over the October 26th election standoff between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Jubilee Party MP has filed a pre-emptive petition on Thursday seeking orders to uphold Uhuru’s election in the October 26 repeat poll.

The petition filed by Jubilee’s Pokot South MP David Pkosing (Pictured Above) is aimed at address the legitimacy concerns raised by opposition coalition by asking the judges to rule that Uhuru was validly elected despite Raila’s boycott calls and the failure to conduct the poll in 25 constituencies.
Given the petition does not dispute the election results, it would run parallel to the expected presidential poll petition challenging Uhuru’s re-election, possibly from civil society groups who have since disputed the poll, which will foreseeably add more drama.

Mr Pkosing filed the application amid talks of another petition challenging Uhuru’s re-election being prepared by some civil society groups and a petition already filed by Activist Okiya Omtatah seeking for the nullification of the October 26th election.
