Babu Owino’s Charge Sheet-Facing 7 Year Jail Term[PHOTO]

Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino, was on Tuesday arraigned in court and charged with incitement to violence.

The charge sheet stated that on September 24, at a rally in Kawangware, he uttered words meant to excite disaffection against the Presidency.

He also faces an alternative charges of incitement to violence and uttering inflammatory words calculated to lead to disobedience of lawful authority.

Here is the charge sheet;

Babu’s lawyers Siaya Senator James Orengo and Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo applied for the MP to be released on bond.

Prosecution however opposed the application saying it had compelling reasons to deny the accused bond.

Babu Owino is in police custody as at this writing.
