Babu Owino & Sonko Win,Mandago & Mutua to Retain Seats.Namwamba Smelling Defeat.Here’s More

Budalang’i MP poll numbers so far show Raphael Wanjala is defeating Ababu Namwamba who was once ODM leader Raila Odinga’s shining star.

Wanjala (ODM) had 9,793 votes on Wednesday morning while Ababu, who is Labour of Kenya leader had 8,717.

The incumbent quit Raila’s party saying the Opposition chief had failed in the mentorship role and that his plans had been blocked despite all his accomplishments.

In Machakos county, incumbent Alfred Mutua is leading with 173, 513 votes followed by Wavinya Ndeti of Wiper who has garnered 146,154 votes so far.

Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka, who is Raila’s running mate, earlier said Ndeti would likely be the county’s first woman representative.

In Embakasi East, former University of Nairobi student leader Babu Owino was declared the winner of a tight race against Jubilee candidate Francis Mureidhi.

Babu won by 33,760 votes against Mureithi’s 31,511.

In what signaled ODM’s dwindling fortunes in Nairobi politics, the orange party lost the Langata parliamentary seat for the first time, almost two decades since Raila was first elected MP in 1992.

In Ruaraka, DDM’s TJ Kajwang defeated Elizabeth Ongoro of AMani National Congress after a tough race. Kajwang won by 32,190 votes against Ongoro’s 28,127.

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and Garissa Town MP Aden Duale are leading in races to lead these areas, the latest election numbers show.

Mandago faced stiff competition from Bundotich Kiprop alias Buzeki, their numbers being 175,266 and 126,051 respectively.

In Garissa, Duale’s victory was signaled early, the tally showing he had 11,584 votes. The National Assembly majority leader was followed by Farah Maalim (7,953), Abdi Mohamed (252) and Mohamed Aden (67).

Duale told journalists at a polling station that he is sure he will be declared winner.

In Nairobi ,Mike Sonko is set to become the Governor.So far the results stands at 792847 votes (53.46%) in favor of Sonko while Kidero stands at 635,990 votes (42.88%).
