Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe has taken everyone by surprise by quiting his job on Friday last week.
Speaking to the press yesterday,(January 15th), Governor Mike Sonko stated that he is yet to carefully consider the matter in view of the unexpected resignation of his deputy.

Through his official Twitter handle, Mr Igathe revealed ,among many things,he had failed to earn the trust of Governor Mike Sonko to enable him work at the county effectively.
He further expressed regret for having failed to fulfill the promises he and his boss made to Nairobians before they were elected,something that his conscience could not allow him to sit around and abuse his oath of office.
Many leader across the political divide gave their two-cents regarding the matter ,with many saying it was hardly a surprise.

On Tuesday,January 16th,the controversial Embakassi East MP Paul Ogili ,alias Babu Owino,surprised many of his followers on social media by taking sides with Governor Sonko.
Mr Owino came to the defense of the city boss and urged Nairobians to be patient with him so that he could deliver.
“Leaders are chosen by God,Nairobians should give Sonko time to deliver.”read Babu Owino’s post.
The Embakassi East legislator has been a fierce critic of the city boss and the jubilee government he serves.His change of stance got many Kenyans questioning his loyalty, and more so,what he actually stands for.
