Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua visited Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commision (EACC) on Monday to submit what he termed as crucial documents to initiate a lifestyle audit on his life as a sign of walking the talk on his war against graft.
The Machakos Governor handed over details of his bank accounts, records of his property and those of his relatives to EACC officials, urging other political leaders to follow suit, as war on runaway corruption rages on.

“No honest leader should be afraid of a lifestyle audit in the fight against corruption. Public money has to be protected.”Mutua tweeted.
“On my end, I freely gave the EACC details of my accounts, properties, relatives etc for an audit. I hope other leaders will do the same. We must rescue Kenya,” He added.

The latest move by Governor Mutua comes barely days after he vowed to name and shame state officials who benefited from the Sh1.9 billion maize scandal.

Mutua, who spoke over the weekend during a tree planting ceremony at Kalama, Machakos town constituency, said he is waiting for a file that has details of the fraudulent scheme before he makes the names public.
