Why Senators want Weta out of minority job

Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula will know whether he’ll retain his seat as Senate Minority leader today when the NASA Principals meet.

Nevertheless,it will depend on whether ODM Party leader Raila Odinga will manage to convince his party’s senators to shun from replacing him.

By yesterday, the Senators had resolved on changing the leadership, accusing Wetang’ula of being a stumbling block to the Senate’s agenda.

They also accused the Bungoma Senator of arrogance and excluding them from Senate activities.

On Thursday, Wetang’ula survived being kicked out by a whisker, after Speaker Kenneth Lusaka temporarily suspended the move, ruling that he needed official communication from the NASA coalition’s chief executive officer.

Speaking to the Star Newspaper, Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa said all was well in NASA and that the Summit will sort out the issue before end of today.

“There is no cause for alarm,” he said. We are telling all our supporters that NASA is intact.”Wamalwa was quoted by The Star.
